PROJECT SPACE
CRATE's Project Space is available to artists, artist groups, students and arts organisations to hire as a short term studio, laboratory space for testing work and ideas, or a an exhibition space.
We have various equipment that can be used to exhibit works, such as plinths, projectors, monitors and speakers, the project space also has Wi-Fi access.
Dimensions: 604 cm x 436 cm x 302 cm (Length x Width x Height)
There is no parking on site but there is vehicle access for deliveries.
CRATE aims to give artists access to affordable space and resources. The project space use needs to reflect Crate's aims of supporting contemporary fine art practice and research.
All hires must be reviewed and approved by our Programming Team.

STUDIOS
Crate provides affordable space for artists.
The Crate building is divided into a series of individual and shared studio spaces over 3 floors, with access to a communal kitchen area and use of Crate’s project space. The building is designed to give artists access to dedicated, affordable space for experimentation, production, documentation and research. Studio spaces range from 18 - 49 sq metres.
There is an application process that considers the innovative and experimental aspects of the practice and a demonstrable interest in engaging with Crate and the wider community.
