A 18.7 m sq studio space is now available at Crate. The space is on the first floor with with good access and light. The studio rent is £117 per calendar month inclusive, with WI FI access and use of the Crate project spaces. The studio space would be suitable as an individual or a shared space. The Crate building in Bilton Square, close to Margate Old Town, is a former print works with studio space on three floors. The studios are permanent and let to fine artists following an application process.
There are 6 individual/shared studios – including 1 wheelchair accessible unit on the ground floor. The studios vary in size from 170 sq feet to 230 sq feet.

Caron Ottewell and Kirsty Quaife represented CRATE at the
National Federation of Artist's Workspaces and Studio Providers
Conference at the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool, 22 & 23 October 2008.
They talked about the experience of a small studio group as part of the conference's programmed event 'Value-makers: artists – opportunity and enterprise'.
